Midge Ure, best known as the singer in the band Ultravox, is cancelling a forthcoming tour due to health problems, according to BBC.

The Ultravox singer will undergo an "acute treatment" which does not prevent him from performing his booked concerts for August. On the other hand, he is cancelling the concerts in Europe and Australia from September onwards.

"During a routine examination recently, the doctors discovered a health problem that requires acute treatment and a period of recovery", he writes on social media. The Scottish Midge Ure, today 71, is born outside Glasgow and once arranged Live Aid together with Bob Geldof.

He intends to give the now cancelled concerts at a later occasion and also says that the tour he planned for the UK 2026 will be carried out as planned.
