The American country queen Dolly Parton has been named an icon by Guinness World Records.

Guinness, which records remarkable and unusual world records, celebrates its 70th anniversary.

It is in connection with this that Dolly Parton has been presented with a special certificate at her studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

The motivation states that the 79-year-old singer holds a total of 11 records with Guinness, including most studio albums released by a female country singer and most Grammy nominations for a female country artist.

Guinness World Records published its first record book in London in 1955. Since then, over 143 million books have been sold in more than 100 countries.
