Super celebrity and reality star Kim Kardashian, with 360 million followers just on Instagram, founded her clothing brand Skims in 2019.

Since the first moment, the brand, which focuses on shapewear, swimwear, and loungewear, has made a success. The company is valued at over 40 billion kronor and in 2023, it turned over 7.9 billion kronor.

It is now clear that the brand is also coming to Sweden, reports Dagens industri. The new stores at NK in Gothenburg and Stockholm are opening their doors already this week.

Skims has, among other things, launched a campaign with British football player Jude Bellingham just days before the European Championship and another with Lana del Rey on the same day as she was the headlining artist at the Coachella festival.

The contemporary adapted campaigns play into the company's success, believes the CEO and co-founder, Swedish Jens Grede.

When you manage to catch such events, it becomes an absolutely huge effect. It's fun to be part of popular culture, it's a big part of our brand, and something that Kim is an expert on, he says to Di.
