When Linnea Alsberg and Jimmi Nordqvist left "Gift vid första ögonkastet" a wave of speculations spread about what had happened. Now the participants break the silence after their departure.

Linnea Alsberg and Jimmi Nordqvist left the programme in the eighth episode.

The statement led to speculation about what had happened between the couple. For Aftonbladet they now break the silence and tell how they handled all the writings and rumours, but they avoid answering the question of what happened.

Linnea Alsberg writes in an email to the newspaper that she did not care about the speculations.

"I, SVT, (production company) Baluba, the participants and my close friends know what has happened and therefore I do not really care about what all the writings and rumours say", she writes.

Jimmi Nordqvist thinks it is sad that rumours and speculations have spread, but he tries to see it from a "larger perspective".

"Among the best things about this programme is the conversations that arise in the TV sofas and coffee rooms after each episode. I believe most of these conversations are both nice and nuanced and I see a huge value in these conversations existing", he answers.

Today the couple has no contact with each other. They tell that they met a couple of times together with one of the programme's experts, Kalle Norwald, after their departure.

Linnea Alsberg gets the question if she is satisfied with how her and Jimmi Nordqvist's relationship is portrayed in the programme.

"Difficult question, both yes and no. Some things that happened cannot be included on TV and some things I said I wish had been included", she writes, but concludes that she is overall satisfied.

Jimmi Nordqvist has chosen not to answer the question.
