The police in Iran have arrested 35 people who authorities and state-controlled media describe as an "Satanist meeting", which is said to have included "signs and symbols of Satanism, alcohol, and drugs".

Raiding so-called Satanist meetings, which are actually parties or concerts, sometimes occurs in the strict Islamic dictatorship where alcohol is prohibited.

Previous raids have, for example, targeted rock concerts.
