Something happened shortly after takeoff, which caused the helicopter to start spinning and then crashed, says Lisa Mjörning, communications manager at the Swedish Maritime Administration, to TT.
The people on board were taken to the hospital, but were conscious.
They were able to move after the accident, but complained of pain, says police spokesperson Magnus Jansson Klarin.
According to information from Enköpings-Posten, the helicopter was to be used for an inspection of power lines, and the police are therefore investigating the accident as a workplace accident. The Accident Investigation Board will also make an assessment of the accident.
We have been on site at Akademiska Hospital and conducted interviews with both the pilot and passengers, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The alarm about the helicopter crash came just before 11 am. The rescue service has worked on cleaning up around the crash site during the day, as large quantities of fuel leaked out during the crash.
