Handball star Jim Gottfridsson has broken his nose four times.

This has caused major problems in his daily life.

I fall asleep everywhere, all the time, says Gottfridsson in a documentary on SVT.

Jim Gottfridsson has suffered injury after injury throughout his career, but his nose has been the worst affected. The handball star tells SVT in a documentary that he has broken his nose on four occasions.

My nose isn't straight, so I don't get air in one nostril, he says in the documentary.

This has led to sleep apnea, which in turn has affected his nighttime sleep. Gottfridsson says he has had major problems in his daily life and is constantly tired.

When I'm lying down and doing puzzles with my son, I fall asleep. Or every time I read a book. Every evening. So I fall asleep everywhere, all the time.

But despite the problems in his daily life, the 31-year-old is hesitant to address the issue.

If I operate now, I'll miss the Olympics. If I operate after the Olympics, I'll miss the entire autumn season. You don't take the time for all these quirks you have.

Currently, Gottfridsson is with the national team and preparing for the Olympics. But playing with minor injuries here and there is nothing new for "Gotte".

When I'm in pain, I play anyway. So I always play. I've played when I'm sick, when I have a fever I've also played. And there I know you (looking at his wife Magdalena) get very angry with me, says Gottfridsson and laughs.

The Olympic handball tournament begins on July 25 and runs until August 11.
