The Lorensberg Theatre in Gothenburg got new owners at the turn of the year and now it is clear that the first own production will be the hit musical "As It Is in Heaven".

The musical will have its premiere in the fall of 2026, writes Göteborgs-Posten.

There are so many talented musical artists in Gothenburg. It feels nice to be able to offer them a stage at home in the future, says one of the owners, entertainment producer Johan von der Lancken to the newspaper.

"As in Heaven", with music by Fredrik Kempe and script by Edward af Sillén and Kay Pollak, had its premiere in Stockholm in 2018. It is based on Kay Pollak's film of the same name from 2004.

In the performance at Oscarsteatern, names such as Malena Ernman, Björn Kjellman, Anders Ekborg and Christopher Wollter were found in the cast list.
