Golf star Alexander Björk denies reports that he is putting his career on hold.
"I'm taking a planned month-long summer break until the Scottish Open", he writes on Instagram.
It was Smålandsposten that reported that Alexander Björk is taking a longer break.
On Monday morning, Björk himself wrote on Instagram:
"There is incorrect information in the Swedish media this morning saying that I'm putting my career on hold, which isn't true. I'm taking a planned month-long summer break until the Scottish Open to recharge my batteries and spend time with family and friends. Nothing else! "
The 34-year-old Björk competed as recently as last weekend in the Scandinavian Mixed.
Björk is one of Sweden's top golfers and has, among other achievements, a win on the European Tour during his career. After a strong last year, he secured playing rights on the PGA Tour for 2024.
