A 16-year-old girl from Blekinge was arrested at a hotel in Stockholm suspected of an imminent murder plot. Now she is sentenced to closed youth care for two years and eight months for attempted murder, reports BLT.
The girl, who has since turned 17, was on the run from a treatment home when she was arrested in September last year. According to the indictment, she was in Stockholm with several co-suspects to murder three people, including two young men with gang connections.
Her role, according to the prosecutor, was to handle the murder weapons and arrange an apartment for two shooters who would carry out the murders. She is also said to have kept the intended victims in a hotel lobby waiting for the shooters to arrive.
In the nick of time, the murder plan was stopped by the police, who raided the hotel and arrested the girl.
She is now sentenced, despite denying the charges, for attempted murder, announces Solna District Court. A total of six people between 15 and 23 years old are sentenced for involvement, reports P4 Gotland.
