Frenchwoman doing well after Olympic Games collapse

It looked bad when the 22-year-old Frenchwoman Alessia Zarbo collapsed, lay on the track and was carried out on a stretcher during the Olympic Games final on 10,000 meters. She had been struggling for a while, far behind the others.

The French athletics federation reports to French media that Zarbo is feeling better and recovering. Illness is said to be the cause, without further specification.

The race was allowed to continue and Kenyan Beatrice Chebet took home the gold.
