"We are all crushed to hear that our former defender, Sol Bamba, has passed away at the age of 39", writes Leicester on X.
The Turkish club Adanaspor, where he worked as technical director, writes on X that Bamba fell ill before a match and was taken to a hospital where he died.
Sol Bamba was 39 years old.
