The 2024 recipients of the Swedish Vis Prize are Ingela Karlsson and Bengt-Göte Bengtsson for having continued to inspire and provide a platform for new generations of singers and music lovers over many years.

The prize is awarded by the Swedish Ballad Federation in Sweden, which writes in its motivation that "With outstanding dedication, they have, both as organizers and musicians, carried on a tradition of living music and meetings. They have become indispensable ambassadors for Swedish ballad art, they have scattered, and scatter, their gold over Halmstad, they are the legends from Skeppet and the circus tent in Steninge."

"It's so nice that organizers are being recognized, as they keep the ballad alive. We feel that we share this with everyone who devotes time and commitment to creating meeting places", say the prize winners in a press release.

The Swedish Ballad Federation in Sweden's scholarship for young artists is awarded to Katja Åberg.
