The crimes that Montero Hill, as he is actually called, is suspected of are considered serious (felonies) and can result in prison sentences. Three charges concern assault on police and one concerns violent resistance.
According to the police, the incident occurred when Hill was walking around naked early on Friday morning. On the gossip site TMZ, there are video clips where he first appears to be out walking in just underpants and cowboy boots, but later is completely naked.
After the confrontation, the artist was taken to the hospital as the police suspected that he had taken an overdose. Later, he was taken to jail, where he remains.
Hill's representatives have not commented on the incident.
