It never became a medal ceremony in Beijing 2022, since the Russian Kamila Valieva was caught for doping.

Instead, the medals will be handed out during the Olympic Games in Paris. On August 7 at 17.00, there will be a medal ceremony in Champions Park.

One can never replace the moments when you win and have a medal ceremony during the Games. But I think it felt like, at least the athletes thought so, that this is as good a place as any, says the IOC spokesperson Mark Adams, according to the website Insidethegames.

It is still unclear which team will receive the bronze. The Russian neutral team took gold in the competition, but was demoted to bronze position after the Valieva revelation. Canada, which came fourth, has gone to the Court of Arbitration for Sport Cas to get the Russians disqualified and thus be awarded the bronze. The USA will receive gold and Japan silver.
