The boy, born in 2007, has been arrested on probable grounds suspected of murder, aggravated weapons offense, and violation of the law on explosive and flammable goods.
The boy admits to the aggravated weapons offense but denies the other allegations, according to his defense attorney Pontus Sjölund during the detention hearing at Malmö District Court.
Prosecutor Caroline Carlquist says there is a risk that the boy will continue his criminal activities.
There is also a risk that the suspect will destroy evidence.
Investigating Misfire
The teenage boy was arrested shortly after the incident in southern Malmö. The man who was killed was in his 50s and a father of small children. He was hit by a shot that went through a window into an apartment where his family was also present.
The police are investigating whether it was a so-called misfire.
After another day's work, we have not been able to see that there is any threat against anyone living in the apartment, but we still cannot determine what is behind this, said police spokesperson Nils Norling on Wednesday.
Fear in the Area
This has caused residents in the area to feel a fear that anyone can be hit by a shot.
We have pulled down the blinds and don't open any windows, a neighbor previously told TT.
The police are investigating whether the boy was given the task of committing the murder by others.
At present, there are no other detainees.
