There are two chartered trains that run between Strasbourg and Brussels. It is usually these trains that you take to get home, says Emma Wiesner to TT.

She and her colleagues are safe and in good spirits. They will now find other ways to get to Brussels. The parliamentarians have just concluded their monthly meeting in Strasbourg.

This highlights our security routines and security situation, as well as the absurdity of putting everyone on a train once a month to get to Strasbourg. There are many reasons to question this circus.

Emma Wiesner tells that they saw smoke development at the locomotive. It is a technical fault, according to information that the parliamentarians have received.

It was a minor bang and many had already boarded the train and did not perceive that there was a problem. It was a calm and coordinated evacuation.
