There is unrest in Dortmund ahead of Wednesday evening's semifinal between England and the Netherlands in the European Championship.
A large brawl between supporters of the two teams broke out at a restaurant about two hours before kickoff. A police spokesman reports that objects were thrown.
The British football police unit says in a statement that five people have been injured in connection with this.
Furthermore, they say:
"We recommend that supporters be aware of their surroundings and seek out areas where there is a German police presence."
This is not the first time that English supporters have been involved in violent incidents during the European Championship in Germany. Before England's group stage match against Serbia, a riot broke out in Gelsenkirchen. The police said that Serbian supporters were eating at a restaurant when a large group of English fans tried to get in, which led to a brawl.
The European Championship semifinal between England and the Netherlands starts at 9:00 PM. The winner will face Spain in the European Championship final in Berlin on Sunday.
