Esplund was left lying on the ice after a duel where he fell helplessly to the ice at the beginning of the second half.

The match was interrupted while waiting for an ambulance.

According to the initial reports, Johan Esplund is not seriously injured.

He's doing well under the circumstances, he's conscious and responding to calls. He's well taken care of, says Villa Lidköping's communications officer Rasmus Abrahamsson to Bandypuls.

After a meeting between the referees and team captains, the match would resume. But the players just let the game clock run without participating in the game, and after a while, the match was blown off.

It will not be resumed on Friday evening.

Villa Lidköping was leading 5–0 when the match was interrupted.
