The man was arrested on Thursday, suspected of attempted aggravated assault, which P4 Sjuhärad was the first to report.

The man, who denies the crime, has previously written hateful comments about Palestinians on social media, according to the radio.

He has also been suspected of hate crime motives, but he denies this as well, says prosecutor Jack Parsland.

By lunchtime, the man was released again. However, he is still suspected, reports Borås Tidning.

It was on August 10 that the man drove into the demonstration that was taking place on a pedestrian street. No one was seriously injured in the incident.
