The decision to discontinue the investigation into incitement against a ethnic group against Richard Jomshof (SD) has been upheld after an appeal.

Chief Prosecutor Joakim Zander decided to discontinue the investigation at the end of September, as he believed there was no reason to assume that a crime had been committed.

The decision was appealed by two different applicants, including Näthatsgranskaren, but after a new review, the decision to discontinue has now been upheld.

"I have reviewed the case and share the Chief Prosecutor's assessment. His decision will therefore not be changed," says Senior Prosecutor Mikael Björk at the Prosecutor's Office Development Centre, in a press release.

The suspicions that were initially investigated against Jomshof, Chairman of the Justice Committee, concerned two images that he had shared on X in May this year.
