Minister for Aid and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (M) is traveling to China from November 5 to 8. With this visit, he will be the first Swedish minister to visit China since 2018, according to Dagens Industri.

On site in China, he will visit both Beijing and Shanghai to meet with business representatives and representatives of the Chinese government.

One reason for the visit is to remove trade barriers and promote Swedish business interests in the country.

On site, he will also direct criticism at China for the country's support to Russia.

I will point out that China's close relationship with Russia negatively affects China's image in Europe and that they enable Russia's warfare in Ukraine by their actions. We will urge China to refrain from delivering military support to Russia's war, he says to the newspaper.
