Djurgården recruits Oscar Jansson from the football Allsvenskan competitor IFK Norrköping, the club announces on its website. The 33-year-old goalkeeper has signed a short-term contract.
"It's been an intense day, but I'm really happy to be here at Djurgården. It feels great in every way, so now we're off", says Jansson.
Djurgården recently sold first-choice goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström to English Derby and replaced him with Jacob Rinne. In the 0-2 derby loss against AIK last weekend, reserve Malkom Nilsson Säfqvist guarded the goal, but had to leave with an injury that has proven to be serious.
"Considering Malkom's injury situation, we acted quickly since we need to have another goalkeeper besides Jacob Rinne", says sports manager Bosse Andersson.
Jansson has previously played for Örebro and Irish Shamrock Rovers, among others, in his career.
