It seems like there will be a lot of rain this evening and during the night but that it will subside during the morning tomorrow. From Saturday afternoon and Sunday it looks better, says event manager Magnus Malmsborg.

The men's and women's 10 km will be decided as planned during Friday evening.

We are not worried about the competition as a whole. We assume that we can run according to plan, says Malmsborg and continues, if the weather situation would deteriorate over the weekend:

What you look at then is what measures you can take. Do you need to pause something, postpone something a few hours. Then you have to take it step by step. It becomes like solving a puzzle.

The triathlon includes the events high jump, shot put and 110 meter hurdles for men and 100 meter hurdles for women.

The Finland-Sweden athletics international continues on Saturday-Sunday.
