Eleven cricket supporters died and about fifty were injured in June when Royal Challengers were celebrated after the title in the men's Indian Premier League at the home stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Now the matches in the women's World Championship that were to be played at the arena are being moved.

The International Cricket Federation announces the change without specifying why. But according to local media, the police in Bengaluru have denied the arena an organizer's license due to security risks.

It was when supporters tried to push their way into the arena that eleven people were crushed to death.

Five World Championship matches, including the final, were intended to be played in Bengaluru. Those matches will now instead be played in Bombay and Sri Lanka's capital Colombo.
