It was after a run in July that Ebba Andersson felt that something was wrong. A few weeks later, she checked it out properly and got the answer that she had suffered a minor meniscus injury.

It's the little bump that I've encountered this summer. I haven't been able to do everything to the point and dot as I had thought. But I've still had the same good quality in training, says Andersson to DN.

The 28-year-old, who took three World Championship gold medals in Trondheim earlier this year, has several times during her career had problems with one knee and then the other. When she now enters an Olympic Games season – the games in Milan and Cortina will be decided in February next year – she is however calm.

Despite not being able to participate in any roller skiing competitions this summer. Despite still not being able to run train.

It's because I've got a clear answer to what it is for a little injury and because I've got such incredibly good help, plus that it's still been such a good progression in the knee's recovery, says Ebba Andersson.

The ski season begins with the Swedish premiere in Gällivare on November 21-23. The World Cup premiere in Finnish Ruka will be decided the following week, November 28-30.
