The Spanish football player Hugo Mallo has been convicted of harassing a club mascot.
It was when Mallo played for Celta Vigo in 2019 and had an away match against Espanyol that he touched Espanyol's female mascot, dressed as a bird, on the breasts.
Mallo, who now plays for Greek Aris, is to pay damages equivalent to 11,400 kronor to the woman and a fine of 11 kronor per day for 20 months.
