Solberg has three wins in four starts in the World Championship in the WRC2 class. But now he gets the chance to show what he's made of in the World Championship event in Estonia between July 17 and 20.
And Solberg is not taking over from just anyone, he replaces the eight-time World Champion Sébastien Ogier, who is not driving a full season.
"I've seen a lot of video of the car and it looks fierce, stable and predictable. I really look forward to working with the team, the engineers and everyone to understand as much as possible before the start in Estonia," continues Solberg.
Solberg has driven in the main class before - most recently in the 2022 season. Whether there will be any more races in WRC is not clear.
