On Tuesday, it became clear that Malmö FF advanced in the Champions League qualifying round after defeating Faroese Klaksvik with a total score of 6–4. However, they did not know what opposition awaited them in the third round.

The Greek league champions won the double match against Bosnian Borac Banja Luka, and thus advanced.
The third round of the Champions League qualifying round between Malmö and Paok will be played on August 6 and 13.
