In the beginning of the year, three explosions occurred in Västra Frölunda in Gothenburg.

Now, a 19-year-old man is being prosecuted, suspected of being behind the explosions. Another teenager is being prosecuted, suspected of aiding and abetting in two of the cases.

"Our understanding is that these crimes have been committed in a gang environment. The detonations have been powerful and it is only by chance that no one has died or been seriously injured", says investigation leader Stefan Olofsson in a police press release.

The first explosion occurred on January 6. It was followed two months later by two more explosions. According to the police, there are clear links between the incidents.

"What stands out and really needs to be emphasized is the large number of injured parties who have been injured or exposed to significant risks. In total, it involves 205 victims who have been affected by these violent crimes in various ways", says Stefan Olofsson.
