For a few days ago, the message came that the sports arbitration court Cas shortened Paul Pogba's doping ban, from four years to 18 months.

Now Cas is also motivating the decision. They write that Pogba, just as he himself has claimed, got testosterone unintentionally after taking a dietary supplement prescribed by an American doctor he trusted.

Cas means at the same time that the French Juventus midfielder is not without guilt.

"As a professional football player, he should have shown greater caution", it says in a press release from the arbitration court.

The shortened sentence means that Pogba's ban will expire on March 11 next year.
