Imprisonment for six years and ten months and imprisonment for five years and nine months. These are the sentences the prosecutor is seeking for the two men who are on trial in Germany for planning a terrorist attack on the Swedish parliament.
The men are Afghan citizens and residents of Germany. According to the prosecutor, they have ties to IS Khorasan, one as a member and one as a sympathizer.
According to the prosecutor, they had close contact with individuals from the terrorist group about carrying out an attack on the Swedish parliament as revenge for the Quran burnings. At least ten people were to die and the men were themselves prepared to die as martyrs.
The verdict against the men will be announced on February 27.
