According to information obtained by TV4, the boy was traveling in a Danish taxi on his way to Malmö.
The discovery of weapons was made during a control of a passenger car at the Swedish end of the Öresund Bridge, Lernacken, late on Saturday afternoon, confirms the police's press spokesperson Nils Norling.
In this car, several firearms and at least one suspected explosive device were found, he says.
He does not want to comment in detail on the arrested boy, but confirms that it concerns a teenage boy who is over 15 years old.
Later, another person was arrested, a man over 18 years old, who is also suspected of extremely serious weapons offenses and crimes against the law on flammable and explosive goods. Both have been detained.
The police cannot currently say what the weapons were intended for or what role distribution there was between the suspects.
We cannot answer whether there may be more people who have been involved in this, says Nils Norling.
