The 38-year-old is convicted of having manufactured two bombs and prepared a third, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
The man denies the crime.
The police intervened last spring before either of the two completed bombs caused harm. Surveillance had been ongoing against the man for some time.
One of the bombs was seized outside a residence where a gang criminal was registered. Another was confiscated when a 17-year-old who was arrested at Central Station in Gothenburg was on his way to an address with gang connections, where it was to be placed.
A third bomb was not completed when the police intervened.
The man is convicted of serious offenses against the law on flammable and explosive goods, accessory to preparation for serious public endangerment, and accessory to attempted serious public endangerment.
A 44-year-old man is also sentenced to seven years in prison for offenses against the law on flammable and explosive goods, accessory to attempted serious public endangerment, and serious drug offenses.
