The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is making an unscheduled visit to Brussels on Wednesday to, among other things, meet with NATO's Secretary General Mark Rutte and participate in a meeting with the ambassadors of member states, according to NATO.
Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the US Department of State, states that the intention is to "discuss support for Ukraine with its counterparts in NATO and the EU", reports the news agency AFP.
On Wednesday, the European Parliament is also holding a debate on the relationship with the US following Donald Trump's victory in last week's presidential election.
