Björklöven Knocked Out in Top Match

Björklöven rolled over Bik Karlskoga in the top meeting in Hockeyallsvenskan. 3–0 after just over six minutes became 7–1 in the end. Success. We put our foot down and show that we are a skilled team, says team captain Axel Ottosson.

Captain Ottosson scored two of the first three goals – his first full hits of the season.

It was nice. It was a bit of a ketchup effect, I've been waiting a long time for this, he says to TV4 Play.

Björklöven and Bik Karlskoga had dominated the season opener and had scored 14 out of 15 possible points before the top meeting.

But those who had expected a close and tight game did not get their hopes fulfilled.

Björklöven was the number too big.

We were not satisfied after the Östersund match (narrow win with 2–1) and wanted to go out and run against a team that had also started well, explains Ottosson.

Already after 6.36, the scoreboard read 3–0.

Then the goals came in a steady stream. Both Ottosson and Maxime Fortier scored two goals and were also credited with an assist each.

Björklöven leads the Allsvenskan on 17 points and is shadowed by new number two Södertälje, one point behind.

SSK won away against Västerås with 4–1.

Karlskoga dropped to third place.

At the bottom, Tingsryd is still point-less after a narrow loss away to Djurgården, 2–3.
