Belarus pardons German man sentenced to death

Belarus has pardoned a German man who was threatened with the death penalty in the country, reports state media.

The decision is said to have been made by dictator Alexander Lukashenko.

The 30-year-old man was convicted of alleged terrorist-related crime and had previously been shown on state TV where he appealed to the German government for help.
