Google's map function is said to have published updated images showing where Ukrainian military systems are located, according to Andrij Kovalenko at Ukraine's center against disinformation.
In a post on the messaging app Telegram, he wrote that Russians are spreading the images. Later, Kovalenko stated that Google had contacted him about the company working on the issue.
According to two former Ukrainian officials who Newsweek has spoken to, the images should only have a limited impact and cannot be used to see how the front line looks as it constantly changes.
