After Mellosuccess: Björnzone reunites

They made a success in Melodifestivalen's interval act in the final in March. Now Björnzone is making a comeback – with a Christmas song. "If you say we're going to record a Christmas song in LA, people will come", says Björn Gustafsson.

For a few months ago, images spread in social media of the members of Björnzone, all of whom were in Los Angeles. None of the ten artists have wanted to tell why they were in the USA. But now comes the answer – Björnzone has recorded a new song.

The song "A Christmas Song" is out now and the revenue goes directly to Radiohjälpen for charity. The new song is written by Johan Carlsson and Andreas Carlsson.

"Johan Carlsson sent 'A Christmas Song', which was probably intended for another band from the start. I called around and said that we have a Christmas song. It's easier than you think to put together a supergroup. If you write that we're going to record a Christmas song in LA, people will come", says Björn Gustafsson in a press release.

The new song is recorded at Henson Studios, where, among other things, the charity song "We Are the World" for the benefit of the starving in Ethiopia was recorded in January 1985.

Björnzone was launched as a kind of tribute or parody of a boy band and was the culmination of Björn Gustafsson's role as a comedic element in the interval act of this year's Melodifestival tour.

The supergroup consists of Björn Gustafsson, Adam Lundgren, Boris Renée, Casper Janebrink, Eric Saade, Filip Berg, Victor Leksell, Måns Zelmerlöw, Ulrik Munther, and Loa Falkman.

Corrected: In an earlier version of the text, not all members of Björnzone were listed.
