The 12-year-old boy has admitted to throwing a rocket at a police car in connection with a xenophobic demonstration in Manchester.
He is the youngest person to be prosecuted so far for involvement in the riots that have shaken the country since the end of July.
Several people, including a 15-year-old, were sentenced on Monday, reports BBC.
About 700 people have been arrested and 300 have been prosecuted in connection with the violent unrest that followed the murders of three girls in Southport north of Liverpool.
The violence erupted after rumors spread among mainly right-wing extremist groups that the perpetrator was an asylum seeker. The police refuted this by publicly releasing the identity of the arrested 17-year-old. He was born in the UK with parents from Rwanda.
A government spokesperson announced on Monday that British authorities remain on "highest alert" despite several of the weekend's planned demonstrations being cancelled.
