No I have never been informed about it. I really have nothing to say about it, he says to reporters on Friday evening.

Earlier in the week, sources for Wall Street Journal stated that Trump should have been informed by the Department of Justice already in May this year that he is included in the Epstein documents. The department should at the same time have said that it does not plan to disclose any more documents from the investigation.

After the revelation, demands have been directed towards Minister of Justice Pam Bondi to testify before Congress.

Just a week or two ago, Trump denied that he had been informed that his name was in the documents. But now we know that Bondi told him, said the Democratic senator Adam Schiff then.

Jeffery Epstein, who took his life in a prison cell in New York in 2019 while awaiting trial, exploited, according to the authorities, minors sexually hundreds of times during more than a decade and targeted vulnerable girls as young as 14 years.

Earlier the same day, Epstein's assistant Ghislaine Maxwell, who is already serving a 20-year prison sentence, was questioned by the Department of Justice.

In connection with the questioning of Maxwell, there has been speculation about a possible pardon from Trump, depending on what emerges from the questioning.

Many ask me about pardons, obviously it's not time to talk about it now, says Trump on Friday.
