The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terechov, announces that the attack on the city lasted for three hours. Russia used bombs as well as ballistic missiles and drones.

"Four attacks with laser-guided bombs, two attacks with ballistic missiles and about 15 attacks with 'shaheds'", Terechov writes on Telegram and refers to the latter as Iranian Shahed drones.

Russian attacks have also been directed at the Dnipropetrovsk region. Governor Serhij Lysak urged residents during the night to seek shelter and stay there.

Later on Saturday, Russia claims to have taken control of a settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region, weeks after they annexed another settlement in the region. If Russia manages to advance further in Dnipropetrovsk, it may mean more attacks on the city of Dnipro, reports AFP. Currently, the Russian forces are about 20 miles away from there.

Another Ukrainian settlement, in the Donetsk region, is also claimed by Russia to have been occupied during the last day.

In total, four people have been killed in attacks in central Ukraine. Two people are said to have been killed in Ukrainian attacks in western Russia.
