Mikael Ymer is back after his 18-month doping ban following three misses in residence reporting.
On Tuesday, he was formally selected for the Swedish Davis Cup team, which will face powerhouse Australia over the weekend.
Ymer has been gearing up by winning in his comeback, in an ITF tournament in Luxembourg.
At the same time as little brother Mikael was selected for the team, it was also announced who would replace big brother Elias Ymer – who chose to withdraw due to disagreements with DC captain Simon Aspelin.
It's about Ymer wanting his coach on the court, while Aspelin believes that the association has rules that apply to all players.
Instead of Elias Ymer, Adam Heinonen will join the team.
"Of course, it's a setback that Sweden's number one is not on the team. I hope he's back next time. The five guys who are on the team are really hungry and loaded to give Australia a match. It's very fun to have Mikael Ymer and Adam Heinonen back on the team," says Aspelin in a press release.
Previously, Leo Borg, André Göransson, and Filip Bergevi have been selected for the national team. The Davis Cup match against Australia at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm will be played on Friday and Saturday.
