The competition started so well, with birdies after birdies and fine placements on the results list. With the third round came the crash for Ludvig Åberg. It was a poor finish, he says in the HBO Max broadcast.

The third round of the PGA tour final in Atlanta was Åberg's clearly worst so far. Two double bogeys on holes 15 and 16 meant that the Swede finished one stroke over par and lost six positions in the results list.

It is frustrating. I give myself many chances but as soon as I miss I get punished, he comments in the broadcast.

Before the final round, Åberg is in a shared 20th place, five strokes under par.

The competition is led by American Patrick Cantlay and Englishman Tommy Fleetwood, at 16 strokes under par.

Fleetwood could, despite two bogeys and a double bogey, keep himself in the lead and now has the chance to take his first win on the PGA tour.

The competition at East Lake Golf Club is Fleetwood's 164th on the PGA tour, but so far he has not won a single one.

A possible win gives the equivalent of approximately 96 million kronor.
