Spring's football derby between Djurgården and AIK ended 4–0 to Dif at Stockholm's stadium, and it was a revenge-seeking AIK that stepped out onto Skytteholms IP on Saturday afternoon.
But there was no revenge for the black and yellows. Djurgården won again, this time with 1–0.
With 0–0 at halftime, AIK's Villemo Dahlqvist demanded more duels and struggle in the second half. She got what she wanted, but it was just such a tough duel that made Djurgården get a penalty in the 82nd minute, after Jennie Nordin fouled Olivia Ulenius.
"Damn annoying"
Therese Åsland scored the penalty to 1–0 for Djurgården.
You get a bit outmaneuvered on the edge and she's too fast for me, simply. It feels so damn unnecessary in a match like this, I think we're clearly the better team and we have our chances to score but don't, then we invite them to something as simple as that in the end. Damn annoying, actually, says Jennie Nordin, AIK's team captain, to SVT.
I'm incredibly disappointed and a little ashamed of my own performance.
Djurgården climbs with the win up to fourth place in the table, AIK remains in sixth place.
Malmö's crush
A 20-minute car ride away, the match between BP and Malmö FF was played. There, the Skåne team won with a crushing 5–2.
Already after 35 played minutes, MFF led 4–0, and directly in the second half, the away team extended with a fine free kick goal by Sara Fornes. BP reduced twice in the last half hour.
Malmö is now second in Damallsvenskan, BP continues to be twelfth.
