A third of all people with disabilities have been discriminated against or subjected to degrading treatment in the workplace, according to statistics from SCB.

The most common occurrence is being denied work despite having sufficient qualifications, but dismissals, bullying, and harassment also occur.

Approximately twelve percent of the population aged 16-65 have a disability. Slightly more than eight percent have a disability that affects their work capacity.

Among those with disabilities that affect their work capacity, discrimination is twice as common as among people without impaired work capacity.
