A 75-year-old woman has been found dead outdoors in the Bårsta area of Södertälje on Wednesday.
At 2:10 pm, we received an alarm from a person who saw a dead person outdoors near a residential area on the outskirts of Södertälje, says Carina Skagerlind, police spokesperson.
Since we do not know how the person died, we have, as a matter of routine, initiated a preliminary investigation into murder or manslaughter.
The police do not want to provide further details about the incident.
We have cordoned off the area and are using special search dogs, says Carina Skagerlind.
Next of kin have been informed.
