Hannah Gutierrez Reed, armorer during Alec Baldwin's film "Rust", now admits to having brought a weapon into a bar in Santa Fe. The admission means that her prison sentence can be converted to probation.
After the highly publicized fatal shooting during the filming of the film "Rust", she was sentenced to 18 months in prison for manslaughter despite her denial. The verdict is being appealed and will be heard in a higher court.
Now she has admitted to having brought a pistol into a bar in Santa Fe a few weeks before filming, where weapons are prohibited. According to her defense attorney, she can be released from prison in June 2025 and instead have her sentence converted to probation at home in Arizona. She must also undergo a drug treatment program.
Gutierrez-Reed arrived at the courtroom in handcuffs and ankle chains.
I would like to apologize to the court and thank you for today's verdict, she said.
