The streaming company Viaplay reports an operating result of 2 million kronor for the third quarter of the year. This can be compared to the loss of 538 million kronor during the same period last year.

Net sales decreased to 4.4 billion, from 4.5 billion.

Viaplay is one of the stock market's big losers so far this year with a price drop of 55 percent.

"We are adapting our operations to drive efficiency improvements and make the organization purposeful," writes CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann in a press release.

The company is struggling, among other things, with subscribers sharing their account information.

"The measures we are taking to reduce account sharing were implemented in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway during the quarter, and are now active on all core markets. It's still early, but the level of sharing has already decreased, and the majority of previous account sharers have retained their subscriptions," writes Madsen Lindemann.
