We have been active in Västerås for 25 years, but have seen that the conditions have deteriorated and become more detailed-controlled. It is difficult to conduct a qualitatively good home care service under such conditions, says Linda Bengtsson, press chief at Attendo.
The company terminated the agreement with Västerås last Monday, according to Linda Bengtsson. But at the same time, Västerås City announced that it would terminate the agreement with Attendo, due to serious deficiencies and contract breaches.
A preliminary investigation into gross fraud has been initiated and the municipality is investigating suspected cheating with time reporting at Attendo, among other things, Kommunalarbetaren has reported.
One thing is about the conditions for running a good home care service. There, we think we have reached the end of the road. The other thing is about potential errors that have been committed. And there, we are fully cooperating in the preliminary investigation, says Linda Bengtsson and adds that Attendo has launched its own internal investigation.
We are just as eager as everyone else to get to the bottom of any errors.
The terminated agreement affects nearly 1,000 customers and 500 Attendo employees.
The agreement expires on May 5.
